In Irish mythology, the Banshee is a messenger from another world. The four musicians of The Banshies felt the need to form their own ensemble to create a safe space that allows them to experiment freely. They focus on communication and listening, abolishing any sense of hierarchy.
In The Banshies, no instrument is king: violins accompany the cello or harpsichord and step back for a solo cello piece. Their world is built on friendship, shared passions, diverse cultures, and the music, literature, and visual arts that inspire them.
